Prices
Special events fees begin at $250 plus the cost of groceries for a 3-hour event in your home. Each hour after will be billed at $35 an hour. Kendall’s will arrive 2-3 hour before your event to prepare your food and set up for your event. Additional servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders may be necessary and will be billed at $20 an hour.
Looking for a shorter event, or for food to be prepared earlier in the day and then left for you to “finish” for your guests? Give us a call and we can quote you a price.
Special Occasions Policies and Information
Payment Policies
In order to guarantee services, pre-payment is required on all contracts. A deposit of 50% will be required at contract signing. 25% of the remaining balance due shall be paid l by mailing a check after final head count is given seven (7) calendar days before event. Final payment for event charges in addition to those estimated on the contract must be paid within 10 days after event. If the event is of a nature additional charges may be incurred, the customer as a guarantee of payment for services rendered must provide a completed credit card authorization form.
Guarantees
Guaranteed guest count is required seven (7) calendar days before event. You may go up on your head count after this date, but may never go down. Kendall’s will prepare 5% over (not to exceed an additional twenty- five meals) any guaranteed count given five business days (Monday – Friday) prior on all sit down meal events. Five percent overage preparation does not pertain to box lunches, continental breakfasts, or receptions. Any increase to final guest count given less than seventy two (72) business hours (Monday – Friday) prior to the event will result in an additional charge of 25%, plus 18% service charge, per person.
Pricing
Prices, along with menus, are often provided well in advance of an event. Due to fluctuating market prices, our menu prices are subject to change. Kendall’s will gladly lock in and guarantee menu selection pricing within sixty (60) days of your catered event with a signed contract, signed event orders and a deposit per our stated deposit policy. Please note that we require a minimum of five (5) working business days (Monday – Friday) in advance of the deadline to complete all of the necessary paperwork. Pricing for banquet meals is based on round tables of 8 or 10. Other scenarios may require additional labor, linen or food & beverage charges. An 18% service charge and applicable sales tax will be added to all food and beverage sales. If the customer is a tax-exempt organization, copies of the pertinent tax-exempt certificates are required with your signed Banquet Contract. If the certificates are not received, prior to invoicing, taxes will be collected on all invoices. If more than one entrée is offered at the event, the price of each entrée will be that of the higher priced entrée. Labor costs incurred due to event times that deviate from the contracted event times will be passed on. An additional Labor Fee will be assessed for events scheduled on or requiring preparatory set-up on the following negotiated holidays: New Years Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Cancellation
As much as we are saving a cook date for you, we are denying that time to others. A charge will be assessed for cancellation of contracted services within fifteen (15) calendar days of an event. The charge will be calculated to cover material and labor costs (including administrative) incurred by Kendall’s as a result of the anticipated event as well as the foregone profit margin associated with the cancelled event should the date not be rebooked by another customer. Any event canceled within seventy-two (72) business hours (Monday – Friday) prior to the event requires payment in full for the estimated revenue based on the menu and event arrangements. Kendall’s will not be liable for any damages whatsoever if performance is delayed or canceled because of fire, flood, riot, strike, labor dispute, war, act of God, or any other natural or manmade event not controllable by the caterer.
Returned Checks
There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks.
Travel
All special events located outside of a 35 miles radius from Lodi, Ca will incur a $25.00 an hour traveling charge.
Contracts
The signed contract with its stated terms constitutes the entire agreement between the client and Kendall’s. A signed contract with deposit will lock in prices within the policy stated above.
Liability
Kendall’s can not assume responsibility for the damage to or loss of any merchandise or articles left at event facilities before, during or following the event.

Pricing
Pricing options for Kendall’s personal chef services shown are guidelines; our services are flexible. We are interested in fitting your needs, rather than make you conform to our packages. We can come as often as twice a week, or a seldom as once a month. We can cook up to a weeks worth of dinners in one cook date, but we can come and prepare as little as one night worth of meals. Maybe you are just looking to supplement your week and would like a couple of entrees made every other week. Whatever you are looking for we can design our services to fit that need. Food can be packed for either your freezer or refrigerator.

- Customized service for special diets may add a $70 service fee for menu research and development.
- Side salads, soups, lunches, snacks, and dessert may be added for an additional charge.
- We prefer to offer a “fresh” service rather than a freezer service. To accommodate a “fresh” service we are able to split many of the above packages into a two times a week cook date versus a once a week cook date.
Personal Chef Policies and Information

This deposit will be returned to you after 1 year either of personal chef service or after your last cook date. Payment for each cook date must be received within five (5) calendar days.
Menu Selections
All cook date menu selection must be made by the Thursday evening PRIOR to your cook date. Any late menu selection may incur a $30 rush charge.
Cancellation
As much as we are saving a cook date for you, we are denying that time to others. A charge will be assessed for cancellation of contracted services within fifteen (15) calendar days of a cook date. The charge will be calculated to cover material and labor costs (including administrative) incurred by Kendall’s because of the anticipated cook date as well as the foregone profit margin associated with the cancelled date should the date not be rebooked by another customer. Any cook dates canceled within seventy-two (72) business hours (Monday – Friday) prior to the cook date requires payment in full for the estimated revenue based on the average of prior invoices. Kendall’s will not be liable for any damages whatsoever if performance is delayed or canceled because of fire, flood, riot, strike, labor dispute, war, act of God, or any other natural or manmade event not controllable by the personal chef.
Returned Checks
There will be a $50.00 fee for all returned checks.
Travel
All personal chef clients located outside of a 30 miles radius from Lodi, Ca will incur a $25.00 an hour traveling charge.

Getting Started
It all begins with client assessment. An Associate from Kendall's will come to your home to gather information from you and your family. At this initial meeting, we will also need to look at your kitchen. During our meeting, we will fill out a client assessment form and discuss your culinary likes and dislikes, food allergies, special nutritional or dietary needs, and other questions, concerns, or goals you may have. Kendall's will use this information to create menus that will suit you and your family's personal preferences.
Prior to your cooking date, a customized menu will be created for you and your family allowing you to make selections for your next set of meals. Our clients get to choose what they want to eat. Your recipes are always welcome. If there is a special recipe that you want to try just let us know. It is our goal to work with you to create meals that you look forward too. We do all the grocery shopping and only pick the freshest and highest quality foods. Kendall's places a high premium on buying locally grown, organic products. We prepare the meals for you in your kitchen. An Associate from Kendall's will arrive at your house after we do your shopping. After we have completed cooking and packaging all your food, we leave your home filled with aromas to tantalize your taste buds. When you come home, you will find delicious meals ready to eat stored in your refrigerator and freezer (depending on your needs), labeled with easy to follow heating instructions.
When you are ready, we will work together to design your first menu and schedule your first cook date.

Cooking Classes in Lodi-Stockton California
An imaginative idea for a festive celebration—Chef Emily teaches you and your guests how to improve cooking and entertaining skills. All cooking classes are taught in a relaxed, fun-filled atmosphere in the comfort of your home.
- Special occasion approaching? We will teach you to prepare mouth-watering dishes for your next party or special event.
- How about a cooking class for an unconventional bachelor/bachelorette party?
- Girls’ night out? Gather your girlfriends for a light-hearted evening of good friends, good company, and good food.
- Death by Chocolate. We will teach you how to create incredible desserts such as chocolate raspberry tart, chocolate molten cake, chocolate pots de crème, and delicate chocolate cups filled with white chocolate mousse.

For an additional $16.00 per person, a 100% cotton bib apron in your choice of colors can be provided for each student in the class.
